SSM With WorleyParsons India, Rehabilitates The Devastated Farmers Families
Never ending plight of the fragile farmer
had been worsened this year owing to the third consecutive year of drought in
Marathwada region in Maharashtra. The marginal and poor farmer who live on rain
fed crops are over shadowed by the disparity and they were forced to commit
suicides leaving their dependants in utter devastation. Dozens of farmers
committed suicide in the last few months.
The
WorleyParsons India Pvt. Ltd. (Thane) responded positively to the appeal made
by the SSM to lend a helping hand in the relief and re habilitation provided to
the families of suicide victims. The
first batch of beneficiaries are identified and they are financially supported
in re establishing their livelihood. The beneficiaries are – Vishal Shivashette
(Biloli), Godavari Narangale (Kandhar), Girijabai Gorpawar (Kandhar), Kallubai
Ingole (Lat) Ushatai Jadhav (Balantwadi) and Kallubai Rathod (Balantwadi).
